OK — been using this thing for about five months now and I keep coming back, so thought I’d say something since a mate asked me last week. Am based in the UK, generally stick to footie and the horses, nothing mad, so take it how you like.
The reason I started using it was genuinely pretty stupid — I could never work out what an e/w payout actually came to when the place terms changed. I’d just guess and moan when the payout landed. These days I type the odds in before I place anything, even a straight one-selection punt.
Their single bet calculator tool is the part I use most — you put in stake and odds and it shows profit and total return straight away, fractions or decimals. It also handles the multiples — doubles and trebles maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, yankees, which is where I’d always mess it up. Have a go yourself, it lives at no vig odds calculator and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.
The thing that actually changed how I bet were the nerdier extras. They’ve got an probability converter that shows the overround, plus a kelly tool — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. Dutching calculator gets used a fair bit when I’m splitting a race.
Couple of gripes. Its interface is very functional, let’s say — zero polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On my phone it works but the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. And no proper app, it’s browser only — fine by me just flagging it.
Anyway. Costs nowt, barely any ads, does the job. If you still works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — saved me plenty of arguments with the bookie.
